I have a 2003 Grand Am. I had the same security issues that some have talked about with the car not starting. When it would not start but still had battery (bells & Sounds) I learned to do the relearn proceedure and it would start. Now it has started having issues where it doesn't have any bells no sounds and the battery seems completly dead. It will start when it is jumped but only then. A mechanic and I have tried to see what could be draining the battery but no luck. It can start and not start within a few hours. The battery has been tested and a new altenator put in. Someone said it could be connected to the security issue but who knows. Looking for anyone who might have similar issues.

Before replacing the alternator did anybody test the old alternator output?
Did anybody test the new alternator?
Has the new battery been load tested?
Has anybody done a parasitic draw test?
Has anybody carefully looked at both ends of the battery cables including under the insulation at the terminals?
