2003 Grand Am Wont Start

Need help with replacing ignition switch on my 2003 gand am. Turned car off when i went to start it back it would not start, it doesnt even click. After checking all the fuses, starter, and scanning with no fault codes, need to know if i should replace ignition switch.

Does the sec light on the dash stay on...Mine would not start for nothing...The key would not even turn...Shifter would not come out of park...If this is what has been happening then all you have to do is drill the ignition...It will brake the pin that locks it...Lot cheaper also....

My key turns and my car will change from park already repleaced ignition switch and still wont do anything.

did you have the battery tested?

Its a new battery but if that was what was wrong would it not click when you tried to start it?

When you say new you mean you put it when this problem started or you put it in weeks ago and you may have a charging system problem resulting in the new battery being dead?

Check for 12 volts on the small terminal at the starter when the key is in the start position.
