2003 Pontiac Montana Rear Dvd system

I have a question does the dvd player power the rear entertainment unit? Secondly if the dvd player is bad would that cause you not to be able to control different radio channels in the back as well. The only thing I know is when I disconneted the dvd player to get a stuck dvd I lost all rear controls on the overhead. Any sugguestion on what dvd players other than the orginal can go back into the hole??

You cannt reinstall the original because the DVD is still stuck? When you say you disconnected it, you mean you disconnected plugs or cut wires? Did you check to see if there is a fuse that controls the overhead that may have blown?
