2003 Sunfire Fuel Light Comes on

Hello,

I just recently purchased a used 2003 Sunfire. Today was the first real day of my wife driving it.

The tank was full but the fuel light came on. I'm wondering what could cause this to happen. It has been a rainy day.

Looking at the 2003 Sunfire owners manual, I can not find a "Fuel Light". The manual states when you run low on gas the "Check Gauges" light comes on. Does the light you see actuall say "Fuel"?
