Hi all, found oil in my intake. Not a lot but enough to make me wonder what isn't right.
Can someone enlighten me?
Thanks in advance
Rob
If your car has a PCV valve then get it replaced. Should be only a few bucks for a new valve.
I seen conflicting info on the PCV as to its location. Engine bay is pretty tight. This is a 2003 any guidance?
Your vehicle has a Ecotec engine, there is no PCV. What do you mean by "intake", the intake manifold, the throttle body, the air filter, etc?

The air intake. If I follow the air filter back towards the engine to a large plastic box with a hose running into it from the engine. The Oil i'm finding is in the plastic box. I'm assuming by way of the hose.
That hose your referring to is the air inlet, part of the pcv. By your description it sounds like the ecotec engine.
Ecotec does not have a PCV, have you checked if your air filter is clogged? There is a orifice in the cylinder head that may be clogged.
