Hi, my car started beeping at me today when I opened the driver's side door like I left the key in or the lights on. It doesn't do this when the car is turned on and it doesn't beep when I open any of the other doors. Additionally, when I went to lock the car, it wouldn't allow me to do so with my key fob.

When I tried to lock it from the inside with the door lock, it did so, but quickly unlocked. The same issue happened with the passenger door. Unless I had both the driver and passenger doors closed, the car unlocks itself if I try to lock it with the door locks.

Essentially, the car won't let me lock the doors unless I lock it from the passenger seat door and exit out the back right door (I haven't tried locking and going out the other back door or using the driver side door lock). It feels to me like some sort of feature that prevents you from locking your car if the key is in or the lights are on, but I don't know if that is an actual feature that exists. Regardless, my key is very much in my hands right now and I checked that the lights are off. I've also opened and tightly shut all of the doors and the trunk. I would be very appreciative to anyone who might be able to give me any information regarding my circumstances here.

Edit: I had said that my key didn't work, but I was actually just using the wrong one because I use a different one for the ignition and I've always used the fob over using the key, so I'm not in practice. Either way, the vibe still beeps when I open the door in a pulsing beep, like a microwave, and it's very annoying.

No unusual lights on the dash?
Did you try taking it out of Park and putting it back into Park?

No, lights look the same. I've taken it out of park and driven it around. In fact, if I leave it alone for a day or two, it doesn't beep or keep me from locking it, but the second I put the key in and take it out, the problem starts up again. I think it has to be some kind of broken sensor that makes the car think that I've still got my key in there.
