2004 aztek door ajar light stays on after I start the car

I have a 2004 aztek and the door ajar light stays on after starting the car .

have you checked all door switches?

Yes I have haven't found anything we wrong

You physically removed the switches and tested them to make sure they work?

I checked them nothing loose I took the car to my mechanic he hooked it to the computer and it turns out the door passenger side front is bad have to replace the whole latch assembly.
