Hey guys, I'm new to this site. I'm working on my girlfriends 04 grand am gt 3.4, they haven't had heat for awhile. I've changed the thermostat, coolant and and heater core! Before I changed the heater core I blew it out with air and got heat for a couple minutes but it went right back to cold even after I installed a new one, Still no heat, I noticed around the intake it looks a little wet, could a leaky intake gasket cause no heat what so ever?

Thanks in advanced.

Sorry, I forgot to mention I've already bled all the air out the coolant system also.

if you have air in the system caused by the leaky intake, yes. You mentioned changing the heater core did you flush the whole system also? Did you bleed the system after changing the coolant? Did you use a 195 thermostat?

That's sounds about right than air must be still getting from the leaky intake. Yes I bled and flushed it a couple times now just to make sure that all the air was out. Yes I used 195 thermostat.

that engine has a reputation for bad lower intake manifold gaskets. The current version corrects the defect.
