The headlights stay on. I suspect it is a relay. I had another montana that did the exact same thing. I don't know where the relay is. When I pull the fuse for the headlights they go off and when I put the fuse back in they stay off. When I turn the headlights on they stay on again which sounds like the relay. I don't know where it is though. Anyone run into this? Thanks

Did you look in the owners manual electrical section?

No but I will. I was assuming it would be in the fuse box with the other relays

I don't see anything in the manual that even relates to the electrical section.

You looked in the index in the back and don't see fuses? That's where they also list relays.

Ok I did find a section on electrical and all it says about the headlamps is that they are wired to the instrument panel fuse panel.

yes I looked and there is no relay for the headlamps per say, however I tried pulling the large 60 fuse associated with the DLR a couple of times and that seems to have fixed. It is possible that it was just corrosion on the fuse. I am not sure but now when I turn the lights off they go off. I will keep an eye on it.

Nope that worked until I turned the car on and then it started again. I am going to try every relay in the fuse box.

Couldn't find 2004 but looked in 2005 which states circuit breaker in instrument fuse panel. It then shows the circuit breaker top left side. Do you have the same?

No I don't see that and I realized mine is a 2003 I think things changed in 2005 not sure

Just found a 2003 manual. Not sure what you are looking at but identical to 2005. Instrument Panel fuse box upper left.

Ok I will look. This is the fuse box under the hood right?

NO, I stated instrument Panel. Picture is in the owners manual.
Hey I am no car guy. Anyway I found the instrument panel fuses and found the headlamp circuit breaker. My question is it possible that is the problem. Would that breaker stay open when the headlights are turned on and off? I can't really test it as none of the other breakers are like that?

It could be and also if you have automatic lights the sensor or sensor module.
