ok so it got so cold my car wouldn't start. so i thought id try the next morning and still nothing. now im on day 3 and nothing works. no lights, no radio, no air. im sure my battery is dead. and worst of all i need to get under the hood to get a my battery but the hood wont pop. the lever on the interior of the car works but the hood wont pop up to get a the latch on the outside. is there another way to prop the hood?

This might work, and it takes two people. While one person is inside the car pulling in the hood release, the other person hits the front of the hood above the hood catch. If the release cable is broken, you have bigger problems. If this doesn't' work, you can also remove the side kick panel by the release lever and check to see if the release cable has come disconnected from the lever.
