2004 pontiac grand am- service engine soon light?

I have a 2004 pontiac grand am se 1. My service engine soon light is on and i cant get it to go off. I was able to reset my change oil light. Is there anyway to shut this light off manually? I have a vehicle emissions test next month so i need it to be off.

It needs to be reset with a scan tool. You will need to fix whatever is causing the light. Auto Zone should scan it for free.
