• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... I know very little about cars. When i accelerate my car and the gears switch from 1st to 2nd there is a 2 to 3 second shake to the car. This shake doesnt happen with the other gears. If i were to really step on the gas, the shake last longer and is stonger. during this shake the power lags but eventually the car switches to second. my transmission fluid is fine. Any ideas?

Has anyone checked the linkage? It may be slipping gears. Or it could have a build up of metal shaving accumulated in those links. Have you had the transmission flushed? That is what I would do first...but go to a place you trust. I don't think it is over $150 for a flush and fill of your tranny.Hope this helps.
