2005 Pontiac Sunfire Electric Windows Not Working?

The problem started on cold, icy days. I would either not be able to roll the window down, or once the window was down I would not be able to get it to go back up. I would wait a while, and the window would work again. Today, rolled the window down and it wouldn't roll up. Then, it went up an inch and stopped. The car is less than two years old.

What is causing this? Is it an electrical problem? And how much will it cost to fix it?

You need to strip and clean the windows rails, sounds like they are full of dirt ant the motors are only designed to pull the window ,if the rails and runners are clogged up the motors cant operate them

Is the car still under warranty? If so, take it to the dealer.
