2005 potiac sunfire troubles

My wife left the light on at work & ran the battery down while at work....
Dropped by to give the car a boost....
here's the weird thing...got in the car....all the guages on the dash(ABS,Fuel,etc) were light up...no dash lights.....when I inserted the key & tried to start,dash goes black,no click....nothing.....
turnthe key back....all guages light up.....turn on dome light ...nothing....headlights...nothing.....
wondering what it could be????could it be the battery?????
Tried boosting with cables....nothing......no click....

Wondering if I can change the battery
attery or if it needs to be towed.....
Any suggestions????

remove the battery, take it somewhere to be charged/tested.

similar problem happened with a friend of mine on a '04 Avalanche and it turned out to be the BCM Module. Hopefully that's not your problem as well, cuz that about a $600 fix.
