I am having an issue with my Cruise Control staying on once I set it. I engage the cruise control and set it at the speed I want to travel and it will randomly release the cruise control and I have to reset it. Sometimes I have to try to set it several times before it will take. It will also sometimes release when I use it to slow down or speed up. All the while the orange light stay lit says that the cruise control is on. It's all very ramdom so I haven't been able to link it to anything else... I've read the owner manuel and it was useless for answers as usual. Does anyone else have this problem or know what might cause it and/or how to fix?

I am sorry to hear about the problems you are experiencing with your vehicle’s cruise control. I would be happy to assist in setting up an appointment for you at your local dealership. You can private message me with your contact information and VIN.

I have had this problem since I've owned the car and I bought it new in 2006. It only happens for periods of time, then it will start working correctly again. I'm not positive but it seems to come and go with the seasons. I have no idea if thats a coincidence or not. Seems to malfunction in the summer. I have my turn signal switch going bad and I am going to have the cruise looked at when I have the switch fixed.

Cruise disengages ----

I had a similar problem, turned out that Torrents don't like LED retrofit bulbs. Cruise disengaged every time I signaled to change lanes. Replaced the bulbs with standard 9157's and voila, no more problem.
