2006 SV6 Sliding Door Panel Removal

Let me start off with a few things:
Purchased this van with the 3.5L in November, 2012.

I'm not here to complain about this van, I love it. (I'm here to receive/offer help)

I will have a few posts about issues/questions I currently have.

This is not related to any power door issue.

This is the locking mechanism on the passenger sliding door.

This door doesn't lock/unlock when the power locks are engaged.
It cannot be manually locked/unlocked.

There is something wrong with it inside the door.

Has anybody had this issue before?

I'm really looking for a diagram/instructions on how to remove the inside door panel from this door.

I should be able to figure out the rest once I get inside.

Just to follow up: I started pulling on the big plastic inner door piece to try to remove it to see what was going on.
Turns out, when the dealer was trying to fix the "door open" ding ding ding ding ding issue (before my time), they didn't get the panel back with the lock correctly aligned with the rod behind it.

I didn't have to pull it off the entire way, the latch just kind of fell into place & it has been good ever since.
