2006 torrent rear drum stuck

Is the rear drum just held on by the wheel....or am I missing something.
I need to get it off as I have a broken stud.
I've wire wheeled the rust, pounded with a BFH, used a big puller...no joy.
Don't really want to heat it or bust it off. I don't think the shoes are holding it.

Any ideas?

back off the brake shoe adjustment and hit the drum face with a BFH

Thanks, I also had to hit it round and round on the back edge with an blunt air chisel. It was a bear but I got it off.

I knocked out a stud from the old front hub I did earlier and it fit in perfectly.
