2006 Torrent starting issue

My wifes car, 2006 torrent has been acting up lately. About ince a week it fails to start. Key on, all lights come up as usual, turn jey to start and it clicks like a dead battery.

Tested battery and its good, checked voltage from alt and its good.

After i tested the batt. I noticed the positive bolt was a little stripped so i replaced that and it went about a week and a half before doing it again.

About 2 months ago i did the EGR update and feel like that may have some affect on this? None of the wires to the egr stay hot with the key off but it seems as though something is pulling on the battery.

Any suggestions would be great!

you could have a bad battery connection, a starter solenoid on it's way out, a bad starter relay if it uses one, or a bad ignition switch.

Battery connection is solid. If a solenoid or switch were to be going bad would that give me dead battery symptoms at the dash?

you stated the battery was tested, the only symptom you stated was it wont turn over. If you turn on the headlights and turn the key to start, when you are having this starting issue, do they go dim?
