2007 "service Stabilitrac and service traction control

I have had my torrent for a whole 4 months and tonight while driving home I got the warning to service stabilitrac, I then checked my traction control and it came on too saying it needs service.

Is that normal? I mean for one to require service when the other one goes off? Do they really NEED service or could it be an error? I am not in a position to take it in to be fixed so I hope that either it doesn't matter much or maybe a simple fix.

Can anyone tell me more please :)
 
I have 2 small children and need to drive 4+ hours tomorrow .... Is this still safe?
 
it indicates your antilock braking system has a problem, probably a bad sensor, have it fixed as soon as possible
 
is your traction control light on. that's your abs is not working right or it could be your wheelbearing the sencor is in the wheelbearing i had to replace one hope that helps....

Thanks. The weirdest thing happened today. I had to go get gas and once I did both warnings are gone...I have no clue why, make a fluke?

It was the traction control icon. The triangle with the car/tire marks was on and below it said "service stabilitrac" then right after that read "service traction control" if I pressed the check mark the writing went away but the triangle stayed.
 
Its safe to drive, but get it to a dealer when you can to have it checked out.
