2009 pontiac g8 gt ?

my fiance and i are going to buy a pontiac g8 gt next year after our wedding in january. when i mention this to people why are they still bashing pontiac? my fiance is a car guy, knows just about everything of every make model there is, so i trust his judgement on our future family car. so what's with all the hatred against pontiac? are they still crappy or are people just holding grudges since they had a crappy pontiac years and years ago?
as far as family i'm just talking about a baby in the future.

Because its a pontiac. There not the most reliable things. Especially considering whats going on in fiance they are like a american made kia. There cheap.
If you are looking for a family car you are looking in the wrong direction.

its a pepsi coke kinda thing, people are just partial to their favorite types of cars, some people like ford, some people like nissan, so if somebody dont like pontiac, they are not going to tell you its a good idea. I personally like the g8 gt, its a magnificant car, looks awesome, sounds awesome, IS awesome, good luck, and congrats on the wedding

Pontiac g8 gt is a nice car, it has good power and some cool options. but it all depends on what u mean by family car. this car probably wont fit 5 adults comfortably.

They are good cars they are imported from Australia where they have a proven track record. The only knock is the gas mileage. Its a good choice for a car but not a good choice of a family car. Put a car seat in and out of the back seat before you decide on any (Family) car
