Thanks for the forum! I recognize alot of the screen names here as i am on alot of Pontiac forums. I just found this one a couple days ago.
The issue i am having is with the wifes 09 torrent 3.6. You guessed it the P0008 code. In researching this forum i see alot of folks say it will need a timing chain replacement. Has anyone found something else that would give us this code? I am thinking of throwing a cam position sensor at it since they are 30-60 dollars. The car has 60k on it and in all the research i find it seems im locked into a dealer fix to the tune of $2500.00. Just in time for the holidays...Doesnt anyone make a car that last longer than 60k? seriously my 72 Lemans has over 120k and its all original. OK maybe not ALL original but alot easier to work on. Rant over for now. So what do you think?
