I have a few issues that I could use some guidance. 2009 Torrent 3.4L AWD. Key FOB's quit working after about a week of replacing the battery in it. Worked in the morning and did not work in the afternoon. Wondering if there is a fuse/relay that I may have pulled by mistake as I did replace a burnt out one for the washer motor. Rear wiper doesn't work and a random misfire. I did order new plugs/wires and coil as part of the tune up I am doing but any thoughts are welcome. Any other checks or watch outs are appreciated.

Did you check the FOB battery with a voltmeter?
Do you have the owners manual and looked at the fuse box section?
Do you have a check engine light on?

FOB battery check? No I did not, I bought two new batteries and neither one made a difference.
Reviewed the manual but did not see one related to the key FOB
Check engine light is on for PO300 random misfire. It did have PO301/302 and I check all wires and they looked good and the plugs looked a little worn so I decided to replace them anyways as part of the tune up I'm doing, parts won't be here until next week unfortunately.

So plugs and wires showed up and found the issue. I guess at the end of the day I don't how it happened but I'm glad to know what the issue is and will be soon fixed. Five of the plugs are Denso and one is a very old worn out ac delco with a threaded insert on it. Everything has been closed here for the holidays so hopefully tomorrow I can find a new spark plug insert.

So you are saying you have a stripped spark plug hole in the head?
Can the insert be removed and reused?

Yes, the previous owner(s) must have stripped it at one time, tapped it and either didn't bother to lock tight or it didn't last and came out when I pulled the plug. I attempted to reuse the insert but gouged it pretty bad when it slipped in the vice taking the old plug. My local Napa had one this morning and all is good now. Fired right up, no engine light and is a lot quieter at idle.

So got the Torrent in for brake pads/rotors/oil change on Friday and going to see what other problems my mechanic can find. Its got a good clunk in the front end going over bumps so i'll look at the strut mounts and other front suspension for issues. Glad the list is getting smaller and after a good deep cleaning I'll be a lot happier with it.
