I am new to this site, but I thought the collective knowledge gathered here could answer my question.

I recently purchased a 68 firebird 350, It has the standard manual drum brakes all the way around. I am looking to upgrade to power disc fronts (for now), with other suspension mods to follow. Which brings me to my question, I have happened upon a 1976 T/A with power disc brakes and a posi 8.5, with the larger sway bars front and rear. I can purchase the entrie vehicle for cheap, But before I do i wanted to see what all could swap over to my first gen. I am aware that the rear end spring perches are at different widths, but will the spindles and the sway bars work without too much modification. Has anyone swapped 2nd gen suspension component into 1st gen sub frame?

been doing some some more reading and the front and rear steering difference between the two years will be a big problem, but maybe the brakes will swap over? and the sway bars?

look at the firebird catalogue at www.amesperf.com and see what the different parts have for years of application. You can also give them a call if you cannt find the answer in the catalogue listings
