I have a 1972 formula. I'm replacing the gas tank. I have found that all of (the ones I have found) oem style tanks are foreign manufactured, I believe by one company. Anyone installed these tanks and had fitment issues? The filler neck is up too high and off to the left by about an inch - this is consistent with two different tanks from two suppliers. My guess is they are all made on the same jig. My only option is to install the tank and follow that up with bending the filler neck with a broom handle so it's centered in the tunnel. Yuck. Anyone else run into this?
