I have a 2001 Montana with the 3.4l engine and about 50,000 miles. Within the last month to month & 1/2 I have had to put in 2 quarts of oil. Here's the strange thing...there is NO PUDDLE of oil under the vehicle at all, and it is not smoking either. The 1st quart I just thought that the place where I had my oil changed last, had shorted me on some oil. Then just last week I got the message on my display that I'm short on oil. I'm sitting at 3500 or so since my last oil change, is there a potential problem that I am not aware of?

Thanks for any advice or knowledge that anyone can share.

It Could Be A Head Gasket, But Doesn't Sound Like It. But Idle At 3500 Is To High. Should Be Runing At 600-800 Rpm.
