Hey All, I recently swapped a 383 stroker from a 72' C-20 into an 81 Trans Am. The stroker motor came in the C-20 when I bought it, so im not sure what was all done to it. I have no paperwork, but was informed it was blue printed and balanced and used to be in a drag car. The motor did have the signs of being in a drag car, with the quick pull brackets. Anyways, when it was in the C-20 it ran like a striped ape. The truck was scary quick. So far im not to impressed with it in the trans am. It doesn't seem to be much more than my 350 crate motor that I had in prior. Could this be attributed to gearing? I run a 700r4 tranny, with stock gears in the rear end. I believe they were 255s? Any help would be much appreciated.
