500hp, whats needed?

I'm not familiar with modifing an old V8, so I have to start somewhere. Customer wants to bring me another 350 and wants to get about 500hp from it. Building a supercharger or turbocharger system is not a problem.
But what about other parts? Camshaft? Valves? Heads? Tappets? Pushrods? Pistons? Connecting rods? Rocker arms?
Maybe change the engine to a 400 or a 455 and try to get it naturally aspirated?

Everything helps. I looked at Butler Performance also. Da*n those engines are expensive . Ofcourse if possible, I would like to build one myself, learning as I do it.
