If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... Greetings:
Does anyone have a 62 with the factory super duty hood scoop
installed ? I have a 62 GP driver and want to install one, however
unsure where to exactly mount on the hood and don't know how to
handle the raised center rib on the hood so the scoop can sit flush
on the hood. Do you cut the rib completely out under the scoop or
notch hood or the scoop ??
Thanks...
Bob

I cannt even find a picture of a 421 SD with this hood scoop. One site said only 16 SD 421's were made in 62 so you will not have much luck finding someone that has an original with a scoop. Do you have pictures of a SD with the scoop?

Can you re-cap SD421 specs?

Didn't they have some aluminum body panels or bumpers up front?
What class of racing were they built to dominate in? Was it drag racing or NASCAR? Did DeLorean have anything to do with them.
Has an old one been found and fully restored and earned big dollars at a major auction? I came into Pontiacs later on so missed this era...
