63 Catalina Headlight switch

63 Headlight switch OEM GM replacement for a Catalina plugs in but will only activate the headlights. No taillights, dash panel lights or interior light will light up. Ive tried two brand new replacement switches with the same result. Any thought?

Can I assume you have checked for blown fuses?
Do you have a wiring diagram so that you can start some testing?

I did check the fuses, but I don't have a wiring diagram for it. The old switch dies still work although you have to jiggle the headlight lever to get the lights to come on which is why I was replacing the switch.

How sure are you that you have the correct switch?
What is the part number?

Ames Performance shows it as discontinued
OPGI has a AC-Delco and a reproduction but it has many applications so I am somewhat skeptical.
The AC-Delco site does not list one.
Frankspontiacparts.com has a used original
Did you compare the two switches to insure they are identical?
