Hi Guys,
I would like to clean my steering wheel and I would like to remove the center ornament of it because the screws of metal covers on the spokes are behind of it. I have the three spoke type wheel with "ENERGY ABSORBING" script and a Poncho logo in a thick, clear resin and with green background on the center.
Had anybody ever removed such type of center? Shop manual does not show it but I think it must be just pulled out. However it does not come. I tried with screwdriver but just carefully. I do not want to crack or scrape parts.
Are there any trick?
Many thanks in advance!
Frank

Usually an ornament like that is clipped on, but you have obvious rust so it make take some force to pry it off, put a rag under the tip of a screwdrive and try prying it.
