68 Lemans Gear Ratio

Advice needed on changing the gear ratio on my 68 Lemans. It came out of the factory as a 2bbl, 2sp auto and 2.56 ratio. I have fit a 4bbl Edelbrock 600 & Performer manifold, TH350 box, headers/2.5" stainless exhaust, Pertronix Distributor/Coil/8mm Leads etc. I'm very happy with town & highway driving but the 2.56 is just too slow of the mark for me. Can anyone tell me if I can swap out the 2.56 for a 3.23 or maybe 3.36? Is it an easy straight swap & where is best place to purchase? Thanks in advance for any info & advice, George

You have the BOP 8.2 10 bolt rear :

You have to change carriers for the gears you want.

Thanks for the info. I've found a complete posi 3.36 unit that should give me what I want.
