I recently purchased a 69 Firebird. The guy that owned it before me dropped a 455 into it with a turbo 400 on the floor. When restoring the car, he only wired essential things to get it to run. I now am having trouble figuring out how a few things should be. The things I most want working now are the horn, reverse lights, heater and wipers. I found the wires under the hood to hook to the wiper motor but it still doesn't work. I am guessing the switch isn't hooked up inside. The floor shifter is a B&M shifter so I am not sure what linkages he took out to activate the reverse lights. Does anybody know much about wiring these things and what I should be looking for under the dash? Thanks for any help you might be able to provide.

You have to buy the Pontiac Service Manual for 1969 Firebirds containing all the wiring diagrams. Try Helms publishing.

If your original harness has been hacked up, you might want to go ahead and start over with a new wiring harness. They're a little costly, but work well, look good and you don't have to worry about something melting or catching on fire.... just a thought
