700r4 in a 67 firebird

will a 700r4 bolt right into a 67 firebird, i had heard u have to put in a different crossmember, is this true or can u do it with the stock subframe, thanks i apreciate the help
 
I think you may have to do some mods in the crossmember department to make is work, but it shouldn't be anything too serious. Also if you still have the traditional Pontiac engine in it you will need to get an adapter to bolt the transmission to the block as the 700R4 has a different bolt pattern than the Pontiac engine.
