71 lemans

Hey folks, new to the forum and just trying to do a little homework before I purchase a car. I am pulled between a 71' lemans and a 78' formula firebird both have 350's and are in good shape... I know a little more about the firebird.. It has recently been painted and new carpet with a 32K on rebuild engine... what would you do? thanks,,

I know this is an old post but Im going to give an opinnion anyway ...
either car would be neet to own but the Lemans would be my choice all things considered it would be the car No one else around would have..
there are probably less of them now then there were a few years ago because everyone is cloning GTOs and a nice lemans is a cool vehicle to see on the road because they aren't around anymore much in stock form ..
I would say anyone who has the oppertunity to purchace one in original condition should do so and preserve it for the future to see what they were...
