72 catalina emblem removal

I was hoping someone could tell me how to remove the emblems from the fenders and trunk as i'm not sure which kind of fasteners are holding them on and i'm unable to get to the back to see.

probably held on by studs on back of emblem and nuts screwed onto studs

would it be the same with the trunk emblem as there is no way to get to the studs behind it?

are you trying to paint the car and want to remove the emblems? You can try looking in the large car catalog from www.amesperf.com and see if they have the emblem you are referring to. If they do, call them and ask if it uses retaining nuts or adhesive.

yes i'm trying to paint the car. I believe that it has posts holding it on its just there is no place to get to the back to get at nuts at least for the trunk so it might maybe just pop off
