A couple days ago my blower motor stopped working. Thinking it went out I went through the trouble of replacing it only for it to still not work. Started to pull the dash apart and saw the fuse was blown. I know should have checked it first lol. But anyways put a fuse in and the motor came on for a second then it popped the fuse. What do I need to check out that would cause my problem?

check the switch, blower resistor and possibly a relay for a short. Do you have the shop manual with the wiring diagrams, if not good thing to have.

No I don't have it but I need to get one. We checked the fuse thing on the firewall and its ok how can I check the resistor is there a way to ohm it out?

Got a secondary problem as well. My gauge fuse was missing and my generator light stayed on. I put the fuse in and my dummy lights started working correctly but now if the lights are on and I turn the wipers on the blinker lights in the dash come on and the dash lights on the left go out and if I turn my blinker on the dash lights dim and my fuel gauge drops until the blinkers kick off and everything returns to normal. Looking like I have some gremlins to chase down.

With the resistor you just pull it out and look if it has a broken wire touching a ground.
