I just purchased my 72 Lemans and I was wondering, what will be the best carburator to use on this engine?

You have to provide more information. What carburetor is on the car now? What do you intend to do with the car, street, street/track, track only? Which transmission auto or manual? What rear end gears? Stock camshaft? Do you intend to change the intake manifold? Are there any other changes you are thinking of?

Well I dont really know yet whats in it, I can only go with what the guy told me when I bought it. He said it has a mild cam and some engine work. A holly carb, T400 trans with a 12 bolt rear with 4.11 gears in it. I dont plan on putting the car on the track so I'm looking to built a Bad Ass Street car! Auto trans.

What number Holley is currently on the car? The number can be found on the choke airhorn. It will be someing like 6210, 3310, etc. Is there a problem that causes you to ask what the best carb would be?
