hi, can some one tell me how to get the heater box , back in under the dash? put a me heater core in it and can't get it to go back up in under there.

Since you didn't indicate how you removed it, maybe you skipped a step.
Remove glove box, console,heater control cables/wires,ducts,nuts on firewall side, disconnect hoses, remove box.

I did all that , be can't get it to fit back in under the dash

This is from the 71 factory manual, see step 10 that mentions the possibility of having to get the tubes through before the studs.
