my EGR solenoid went out and its as good an excuse as any to go ahead and swap out the ECM for a better one^^. *evil laugh*
ive already made an adapter harness from darth fiero's pinout and a spare ECM. when i go to start it i get a sputter then nothing... triple checked the wiring on the harness, checked the codes and i get a code 43..... and 46!!! balderdash!!
i got it from a 90 firebird, went back and ended up finding the VATS module, not knowing what i was looking at... lol.. i did however start working on a circuit board to just bypass it. that way if i feel like i need to i can just pull out the little module and no one will be able to start it.
the thing that confuses me is that i couldnt find a knock sensor, or the module.. only thing by the brake booster was the headlamp module. doh, should i just send full 12v to the signal wire, or none at all? or do i have to find a voltage regulator at 8-10 volts for it to drop that code?
i plan on finding the module anyway, i like the idea of knock protection ^^
