Hello, I am rebuilding my 79 T/A. I just bought a Edelbrock Performer RPM. It seems to be an inch or so taller than the Holley I had on there before. Can anyone tell me if I will have any clearance issues with the shaker and hood?
Thanks,
Jeff

get some modeling clay and place it at four locations around the shaker where it meets the hood to determine the clearance. It also states on the Edelbrock site it will not fit without modifications.

This article on manifolds came to the same conclusion, it doesn't fit.

Sell both manifolds and get a RA IV or 455 HO aluminum manifold. They have no exhaust crossover built into them so they are basically like an RPM Air Gap.

Thanks for the suggestions!!! I still would like to make this one I bought work. Maybe I can find a lower profile air cleaner that could make up some more clearance space??
Keep the ideas coming and I hope to hear from someone who has done this to their Trans Am.

Just remember once you go lower than 3" you start restricting airflow which contradicts the whole purpose of installing the manifold in the first place.
