Right now I have a 81' 301 Firebird motor with the rochestor 210 dual jet carb(2 barrel). Now the question is what all would i need to upgrade to this carb if I dont want to change my intake?
Don't bother. The engine doesn't make enough power to warrent a 4 barrel. Besides the 2 BBL is 500cfm. But if you really want to do it, you would need a factory 4 BBL intake because there are no aftermarket ones for the short deck Pontiac. No way to do it without swapping intakes. I also believe the original carbs on the 81 are computer controlled along with the spark timing. Swapping carbs may cause problems with the computer controls unless you put a regular distributor and carb on it.
