81yr formula 301-t

Hello , my 81yr ran great and park for 9yrs. went thru fuel system etc . motor sound great till put in drive ,wants to die so I give a little gas and go a little till I give more gas and die . may be a vacuum leak from transmission thinking because when in gear ? any help

Try a different carb, I've seen them corrode internally from sitting with fuel in the bowl or maybe just needs a rebuild.

I would Check for Vacuum leaks 1st, those year cars have a lot of rubber lines under the hood. The next thing to check is the advance curve, I have seen the weights lock into position from disuse.
Last possibility could be a Locked up Torque converter, does the engine shake when in idle and in gear? I had this happen when I resurrected my 78 Sunbird Wagon that had been stored for 10 plus years.
It could also be a Carb issue. But I start with the simple things 1st
