Can someone tell me which color trigger wire goes in the top and bottom of the coil plug??? I also took out the distributor to clean and test it thinking it would only go in right or 180 deg. out which I found out wasn't the case after I washed off my reference marks. Can someone tell me how to get it back in right??? I know I can get it within a tooth or two but it could take several tries to get the right slot. I could give you my e-mail or ph# if you want. I live in Minnesota. I could use some HELP!! Sincerely: Michael

Crank engine to set #1 at TDC (balancer timing mark at 0).
Then install distributor so the rotor points at location where plug wire to #1 cylinder is connected
This will be close to 0 degrees and will be enough to allow you to start and set timing with a timing light once engine has warmed up.
If you want 8 degrees before TDC as a start, have your timing mark on the balancer lined up with the 8 BTDC degree mark first,
- then line up the rotor with #1 on the distributor.
