An older guy down the road from me has a 1984 Yellow, Automatic, Power windows and doors, 4 cylinder Fiero he said he'd take $1500 for it. I looked it over and it started up just fine, ran good, and he said I could take it home for a weekend to drive to test it out.

Interior and paint look nice, I didn't see any signs of oil leaks, electrical, or any other major problems. Car started right up, and seems to run fine.

Do you think this car may be worth $1500? Any other things I should look for?

if thats what you like for preformance and style then i would say do for sure. Its a vintage almost mint according to your word. If you like it, buy it. and the answer to your question. Yes it is worth it. My self, I wouldn't settle unless it was a GT. :P

cheers,

Kazin

Thanks for the info. He told me it was an 84, but after some internet research I'm thinking it must be an 87 or 88 because it's factory yellow color. From what I've seen they didn't have yellow paint on the earlier years. I think when he told me the year he just guessed. I'm going back this weekend to check it out again. I'll have to look at the VIN and title.

If it is factory yellow it can only be 1988. That is the only year for that color.
Verify year by VIN. If it is an 1988 it could be factory paint. If it is 1984 thru 1987 than the car was repainted sometime in its past.

As for price, That is a decent price for a good condition Fiero. Once you get the VIN and find the correct year, Take a look here for value:
