84 Fiero Problem

I just bought a 84 Pontiac Fiero and one of the head lamp motor keeps running after the head light is turn on or off. Is there a switch that is suppose to turn the motor off after the head lights are raised or lowered??
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks:)
