I have reason to believe my 1985 Fiero won't run because of a faulty crankshaft position sensor.

Can anyone tell me specifically where it's located and the best way to access it?

It might not hurt to know where the camshaft position sensor is located, as well.

Thanks.

Assuming you have a 2.5, the crank position sensor is on the back of the ICM

AWESOME! THANKS!

Oh, by the way - can anyone tell me specifically where the ICM is located and the best way to access it? (this time bearing in mind I'm a carpenter who happens to own a Fiero, not an auto mechanic)

Cps is part of the ignition system and will be under the intake manifold. Just follow the spark plug wires down to the module/cps. ( Cps is under the spark module)

That's where the distributor would of been if it had one on.
