You need to take the door skin off.
First remove the interior panel
Then remove the nuts that hold the outside mirror
You then need to remove the outside molding. If you push up and pull from the top you can unclip the long molding. If you break the nylon mounts the Fiero Store sells replacements. (

The small one has a plastic push pin on the side.
There are a couple of 7mm screws that hold the plastic clips that need to come off.
Finally, there are 1" diameter screws on the outside edge of the sides looking from the inside of the car. These are TORX type screws.
Once removed the whole door skin comes off and allows you to remove the door handle. While the door is apart, it is a good idea to clean all the linkage and window tracks. The windows tracks get dirty with age and if you have power windows they will slow down.
Do the reverse to install.
