Ok so I have an '87 fiero. Its stick shift, 5 speed. It had some strange problems. 1. The driverside headlight is stuck up. It just got stuck yesterday but it worked perfect at the beginning of the day and stopped at night. It may be the weather, its been around 20-35 degrees here the past few days so could it be frozen,a bad motor, or something else? 2. It's wiring is strange. The radio resets when I shut the car off, so no clock or radio stations stay. It makes "beeps" evey 10 mins or so and then sometimes 3 "beeps." 3. when I hold the trunk open button, one of the warnings lights comes on, in between the tachometer and speedometer, its the one that says brake." 4. The passenger window barely goes down and goes slow at that. 5. When I shift into 3rd gear sometimes, it makes a "grunt/grind" sound. But it runs and goes in fine. I think thats most of the problems, and any help is appreciated please respond.

Headlight could be the motor or the relay is stuck. Swap relays with the other side. If the relay is not the issue the headlight motor can be rebuilt cheaply by getting a kit from www.fierostore.com

The radio is missing it's constant power. Check the cig lighter fuse.
This may also fix the warning light when hitting the trunk button. If it does not, You may have a corroded ground wire. Check all fuses under dash and all ground wires in the engine compartment.

The passenger window is the tracks that the window rolls on is gummed up.
Remove door panel and clean tracks with a degreaser then use silicone lubricant on the tracks.

On the getrag 5-spds the 3rd gear synchro has some wear. (common problem with these transaxles) To temporarily fix this change out the trans oil and use GM synchromesh oil. It won't grind as often and overall shifting will be smoother.
