transmission? i am currently using a GETRAG 282 transmission, is there a modern day equivanlent transmisson that will fit on my stock 2.8 L V6

v8 archie has a pontiac g6 convesion kit, is a 6 speed manual
You can use a later getrag. Just note that the newer ones require a different bracket for the slave cylinder which can be bought from www.rodneydickman.com
Als as noted above the F40 6-speed manual used in the Pontiac G6's can be used. Although this requires mods to the shifter and the trans mounts.
