Hey gang..
New to this forum and Im jumping right in! Just picked up my first 3rd gen to make my own personal KITT. 89 formula 305 TBI. Sat for 4 years in a barn. Completely stock 83 k miles. I cannot get it to fire to save my life!! Timing is right, spark and fuel are fine. New plugs, wires, coil, ignition module, cts, starter and battery. The one thing I am noticing is that some plugs are dry after cranking and some are wet. Very confused by this. Only thing I have not done is compression test but I will say that number one cylinder blew my thumb nearly off when cranking. I was told 4 years ago he replaced starter and then it sat. He disconnected ypipe not thinking he could get starter down (not really the case) so the y-pipe has been disconnected since then an inch or so...maybe something crawled up there and died?? But that would be on the exhaust side, not the fuel inlet side. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I need this to run so i can start the real fun!!

Most certainly. Was a pulsating kind of spray. If I unplug cts then its a much more solid almost flooding kind of spray but yeah plenty of fuel. Won't start with starting fluid either but spark is great. I'm telling you something is physically stoping the fuel from getting to certain cylinders. I Have a bad feeling about some of these valves but the lifters are going up and down no problems at all. No clue what else is causing this

do you have a scan tool for OBDI? Here is a link which may help there are many others if you google "diagnosing GM throttle body"

No scan tool. I was hoping with the basic fuel, spark and correct timing that she would fire. Have a bad feeling its a valve problem or something along those lines. Of course every thread I find that has the same symptoms, nobody every reports the final fix. I hate that! Anyway..any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I will check out that article as well!
